As the postseason begins in the St. Louis metro area, two talented shooting guards have decided to make the college choices known this week.
Alton Marquette standout Deion Lavender (pictured) gave a commitment to Southern Illinois University while Lafayette High sharpshooter Nate Messer committed to Navy.
The 6’3″ Lavender is one of the area’s top scorers this season at nearly 26 points a game. He scored a career-high 53 points in a game against St. Mary’s in early December.
The 6’3″ Messer averaged 14.5 points a game in leading the Lancers to a 22-4 record and the Suburban West Conference title. Messer hit 80 3-pointers this season while shooting 45 percent from 3-point range. https://topspying.com/iphone-spy/
