Edwardsville High standout guard Trevor Clay has given a commitment to NCAA Division II national power Drury University.
The 6’2″ Clay was a starting guard and a key component for the Tigers, who were 30-4 and finished fourth in the IHSA Class 4A state tournament. As a senior, Clay averaged 10.7 points a game while shooting 49 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range. He hit 60 3-pointers during the season. He also shot 77 percent from the free throw line.
Clay spent the first three years of his prep career at Crossroads Prep, where he was a three-year starter and one of the top guards in Missouri.
Drury is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Panthers won the NCAA Division II National championship in 2013 and advanced to the Elite Eight in 2014.
