CBC’s Jordan Barnett concluded a stellar senior campaign on Sunday when he was named Mr. Basketball in Missouri. The award goes to the top senior in the Show-Me State. Barnett received his award at the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Awards Banquet in Springfield.

The 6’7″ Barnett led the Cadets to the Class 5 state championship in March, capping off a great senior year with a 43-point, 20-rebound performance against Columbia Hickman in the championship game. Barnett averaged 20 points and eight rebounds a game against a national schedule in 2014. He is headed to the University of Texas, where he will play for coach Rick Barnes.

A few hours after receiving his Mr. Basketball recognition, Barnett went on to lead the St. Louis All-Stars to the championship of the Missouri Challenge. He scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in St. Louis’ 90-85 victory over the Southwest All-Stars in the championship game. He was also named the MVP of the tournament.
