Saint Louis U. coach Jim Crews picked up his first commitment of the 2016 class when Riverview Gardens standout Zeke Moore gave a verbal pledge to the Billikens on Saturday.
A 6’6″ guard, Moore is one of the most talented offensive players in the St. Louis metropolitan area. As a junior, Moore averaged 25.3 points a game and shot better than 50 percent from 3-point range. He was third in the metro area in scoring.
Moore had also received offers from Indiana State, Drake, Illinois State and was starting to receive interest from several other schools, including West Virginia and Tulsa.
Moore is playing this summer with the Team Ramey 17U squad.
Earl’s Thoughts: I think this is very good get by coach Jim Crews and his staff. Zeke is a very skilled and talented offensive player who can really shoot the basketball. He can also handle the ball and create a shot off the dribble. As he gains the physical strength he needs, he should develop into a factor in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Although he is somewhat under the radar in this loaded local class of 2016, he is the type of talent that has a chance to blossom in a Billikens’ uniform over the course of four years. That’s why I am excited about Zeke’s commitment. You know me. Any time a local player gives the Bills a commitment, I am excited.
