Junior guard Aaron Hines was awarded a scholarship by SLU head coach Jim Crews on Friday. Crews made the official announcement at a team gathering in the Bahamas, where the Billikens will play three exhibition games in the next six days.

The 6’0″ Hines joined the Billikens as a walk-on for the 2014-15 season after a standout prep career at Parkway North. As a junior, Hines helped the Vikings to their first ever district championship. He averaged 19.9 points a game as a senior in 2013. He spent his first year in college at John Wood Community College in Quincy, Ill.
