Standout point guard Matt Nester of SLUH has given a commitment to Washington University this week.
The 5’11” Nester is a four-year starter for the Jr. Billikens and one of the top returning players for a team that advanced to the Final Four of the Class 5 state tournament in 2015.
As a junior, Nester averaged 11.8 points and shot 41 percent from the 3-point line and 82 percent from the free throw line. He helped lead SLUH to a fourth-place finish in the school’s first Final Four appearance in 33 years. Nester played with the Gateway Basketball Club 17U team during the summer.
