Former CBC standout Patrick McCaw is off to a great start of the 2015-16 season in leading the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels to a 3-0 record.
In those three games, the 6’7″ sophomore guard is averaging a team-high 16.7 points a game. McCaw is also averaging 4.3 rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 60 percent from the field, 57 percent from 3-point range and 80 percent from the free throw line.
On Wednesday night, McCaw scored 24 points to lead UNLV to an 84-64 victory over Southern Utah. He was eight of 12 from the field, and three of six from 3-point range. McCaw also added four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
McCaw one of the top freshmen in the Mountain West Conference last season as he averaged 9.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals in 29 minutes of action in 2015.
