Former Washington High star Scott Suggs was the 2016 recipient of the National Basketball D-League’s Jason Collier Sportsmanship Award.
The award was voted on by the league’s 19 head coaches. It goes to the player who best represents the ideals of character and conduct on and off the basketball court.
The 6’6″ Suggs was a starting guard for the Raptors 905. He started in 50 games, averaging 18 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists a game. One of the top 3-point shooters in the league, Suggs made 41 percent from long distance.
