Senior guard Kramer Soderberg of Lindenwood University is the first recipient of the Earlaustinjr.com Area Colleges Player of the Week for the 2011-12 season. Soderberg averaged 20 points a game to lead the Lions to two victories in last week's McKendree Classic in Lebanon, Ill.

Soderberg scored 23 points and handed out five assists to lead LU to an 82-77 overtime victory over Union (Tenn.) in the season opener. He followed up with 17 points, four rebounds and seven assists in the Lions' 99-56 victory over Logan College.

As a junior, Soderberg earned National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Second Team All-American honors after leading Lindenwood to a school record 29 victories and a second-round berth in the NAIA National Tournament.
