“Battle of the Badges” benefit event set for Saturday evening

The Operation Excel Basketball League’s “Battle of the Badges” benefit basketball event will be held on Saturday, March 20 at Normandy High’s venerable Viking Hall. The two-game event is being presented by local radio personality Craig Blac, in conjuction with the Foxy 95.5, The Backstoppers Inc., National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society.

 The first game will feature the City vs. County EMTs at 5:30 p.m. The second game will feature the City vs. County police officers at 7 p.m. The doors will open at 4 p.m.  Admission to the games is $5. A portion proceeds from the event will benefit the Backstoppers, American Cancer Society and the Hatian Relief Fund.
