Whitfield's Ituen scores 1,000th point

Congratulations to Whitfield High senior guard Tyler Ituen on reaching the 1,000-point plateau during her standout career. Ituen scored her 1000th point on Jan. 22 in Whitfield's 68-35 victory over St. Elizabeth. The 5'9" Ituen is on pace to break Whitfield's career scoring record which is currently held by 2009 graduate Destini Wilson, who is now at Lindenwood University.

Ituen is currently averaging 17.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.3 steals, 2.5 assists and 2.0 blocks for the 9-5 Warriors. As a junior, Ituen teammed with Wilson to lead the Warriors to their first ever district championship.
