Hoop Squad wins Midwest Shootout Tournament title
The Hoop Squad, a St. Louis-based eighth-grade boys team, won the championship at last weekend’s Rameybasketball.com Midwest Shootout in the 14-and-under division. The Hoop Squad defeated Team St. Louis for the championship on April 24 at Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey, Ill.
The Hoop Squad has compiled a 66-9 record with three tournament championships as well as the title of the Mathews-Dickey Boys & Girls Club Winter League. They have also won the Coach T. Classic in Kirkwood and the Tournament of Champions in Edwardsville, Ill.
